This race is a memorial to our member Charlie Young, who was killed in a bike accident in Colorado in August 2004.  Since Charlie always ran without a shirt even in the dead of winter, shirtless (not topless) runners are given a two dollar refund at the finish line. Charlie lived in Placitas, so the race is held on a loop, dirt road in Placitas with rolling hills in a pinon/juniper forest.  Proceeds benefit the Placitas Public Library.

Packet pickup and raceday registration will be located at the race start.  Please see directions below.

Directions:
From I-25 north of Albuquerque, follow exit #242 east. This is highway 165 toward the village of Placitas.  About 2.6 miles east of I-25 on the south side of the highway will be located a small trailhead/parking area.  This will be the location of the race start, packet pickup and raceday registration.
