Monday Evening Trail Run
Monday Evening Runs Begin at 6:00 PM.

(This is our most popular evening workout)

Jean Herbert leads a scenic trail run in the open space foothills of the northeast heights every Monday. Runners meet at the open space trailhead at the east end of Indian School.  The run lasts approximately 1 hour.  All levels of runners are welcome to join in the fun, and no runners are left behind.  Come test your trail running skills in the hills!  For more information contact Jean Herbert.  Visitors are always welcome!


Tuesday Evening Speed Workout
Tuesday evening speed workouts aren't organized at the present time.

If you would like to run with a group on Tuesday evening contact Jean Herbert.   A small group has been meeting at various locations.  The workouts vary, but may include 400m, 800m, mile repeats and ladders. 


Tuesday & Thursday Evening Speed Workout
If you are looking to increase your speed for the upcoming racing season, join us at 6:15 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the SW corner of UNM's Johnson Field (across the street from Frontier Restaurant). ALL abilities are welcome!! We currently have 4 guys and two ladies working out with us. Our usual workout goes something like this: 1 mile warm-up, plyometric drills (high knees, etc.), 3-4 x 800, 1 mile, 4 x400, 1 mile cool-down.

Wednesday Morning Walk
Walk along Tramway bike path for 1 - 1½ hours.  Meet in Smith’s parking lot on SE corner of Central and Tramway at 8:00 am.  Please call Kadine at 291-1432.  Let your non-running friends know about this.  Good cross training for runners too! 


Thursday Evening Tempo Run
If you would like to run with a group on Thursday evening contact Jean Herbert.   A small group may be getting together at various locations.


A group is meeting at Albuquerque Academy on Thursdays at 5:00 pm for a track workout.  They have been getting 5-15 runners.  Thanks to Alan Overmier (286-8595) for passing this along.
